Easter 2026 presents a special opportunity for youth to combine spiritual growth, fellowship, and adventure through a memorable trip to Kigali, Rwanda. From 3rd – 5th April 2026, young people will travel together, learn together, and experience how God is working beyond our borders, all under the theme “Fellowship and Growth in Christ.”

Purpose of the Trip

This Kigali Youth Trip is more than just travel, it is a carefully planned experience aimed at nurturing Christian character, strengthening friendships, and broadening perspectives. The trip seeks to:

  1. Gain new experiences through travel and cultural exchange
    Participants will be exposed to new environments, people, and ways of life, helping them appreciate diversity within the wider East African and Christian family.

  2. Learn from the Rwandan Church in leadership and evangelism
    Through interactions, worship, and planned sessions with local church leaders and youths, the team will draw lessons in church leadership, mission, discipleship, and community engagement.

  3. Foster fellowship, unity, and spiritual growth
    Time spent on the road, in prayer, worship, and shared activities will strengthen bonds among participants and deepen their walk with Christ.

  4. Promote responsible conduct and Christian witness
    As ambassadors of Christ and of their home church, participants will be encouraged to uphold high moral standards, discipline, and integrity throughout the journey.

  5. Explore key historical, environmental, and cultural sites in Rwanda
    Kigali and its surroundings hold rich history and natural beauty. Visits to selected sites will help participants appreciate Rwanda’s story, resilience, and development while reflecting on God’s leading in nations.

Trip Schedule and Time Frame

The trip is planned to run over the Easter Weekend, making the most of the holiday period:

  • Gathering at Church:
    Thursday, 2nd April 2026 at 4:00 PM
    Participants will assemble at Kampala Central Church for the final briefings, prayer, and preparation.

  • Set-off:
    Thursday, 2nd April 2026 at 7:00 PM
    Departure from the church in the evening, traveling overnight toward Kigali.

  • Main Trip Dates in Kigali:
    Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th April 2026
    These days will include worship, fellowship, church visits, learning sessions, and guided tours.

  • Return:
    Evening of Sunday, 5th April 2026
    The team will travel back and is expected to arrive in the evening.

Throughout the journey, emphasis will be placed on safety, accountability, and mutual care.

Fees and Self-Sponsorship

To make this experience possible, participants are encouraged to take responsibility for their own sponsorship, with the support of family, friends, and personal savings.

  • Early Bird Fee: 400,000 UGX

    • Valid up to 28th February 2026

  • Late Registration Fee: 500,000 UGX

    • Applies from 1st March 2026
